How many times have you answered, “I’m OK” when someone asked how you were; knowing full well that you were anything but, OK?

We all do it. Too often, we’re not willing or able to admit to the world, or sometimes not even to ourselves, that we’re anything but, OK.

So, what do you do when you find yourself sitting on top of a big fat mess of a day and there are still hours left to go? You’ve got to shake it off.

Shake off the negative spiral by turning your focus from yourself to God.

It looks different for each of us. Some like to turn on a worship song while others may look to their favorite scripture. All of us can benefit from stopping to consider what we’re thankful for.

Me? I like to turn on a good upbeat song and dance in my kitchen. You can find out more about this by clicking this link: https://thefabjourney.com/2020/05/29/dance-shake-out-of-it/

Be encouraged…God promises to draw closest when we feel like we’re at our weakest.

“But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong”  2 Corinthians 12: 9-10 NIV
