The past two years have definitely been learning times for a lot of us. We’ve all known the disappointment of canceled plans and the absence of life events that we just took for granted years before. And, if truth be told, a lot of us discovered that we were really activity junkies just waiting for life’s next big thing.
Of course, there’s nothing wrong with having something to look forward to. But, we can easily find ourselves overlooking life’s many moments (in essence the bulk of our days) in pursuit of something bigger, better or grander than what we’ve got right here and right now.
Essentially, wishing away our life…
So many times, God calls our attention to the simple things and that’s what I did in a post that highlighted some of the beautiful pictures taken by my fellow Pen-Florida missionary colleague, Abigail Blair.

Be encouraged…God takes pleasure in you and He wants to whisper his hope, joy and peace into every moment of all your days.
“The Lord said, ‘Go out and stand on the mountain in the presence of the Lord, for the Lord is about to pass by.’
Then a great and powerful wind tore the mountains apart and shattered the rocks before the Lord, but the Lord was not in the wind. After the wind there was an earthquake, but the Lord was not in the earthquake. After the earthquake came a fire, but the Lord was not in the fire. And after the fire came a gentle whisper.”
1 Kings 19: 11-12
